“A building—just like great prose, poetry or music—can tell more than one story. It can show the world from an entirely new perspective, awaken yearnings or chart new pathways”, says Daniel Libeskind.
The spectacular building situated at Złota 44 no doubt charts new pathways in architecture and far beyond it; and so does the perfectly laid out apartment in it. A spacious Master Bedroom with en-suite walk-in closet and bathroom, two additional bedrooms and a salon flank the glazed elevation wall. The axis of symmetry running through the middle of the apartment marks out the symbolic boundary between the daytime and the night-time zone.
The stunning asymmetric salon, the trapezoid bedrooms and the study built into a crevice in the façade are some of the elements of Libeskind’s avant-garde architecture apartment 156 is a laudable example of.
Remarkable structural inventiveness, soothing form and colour minimalism, as well as space and light are some of the other key contributing elements of the great architect’s style.
This, as all other residences in the building, is equipped with the HMS facility management system, which provides touch screen control of technical units, such as lighting or air-conditioning, and can be used to call in a babysitter or book theatre tickets.
No doubt this small masterpiece of Daniel Libeskind opens a previously unknown and entirely fresh window to the world.
Windows of apartment 156 frame a splendid panorama of Warsaw, with the monumental Palace of Culture and Science in the foreground.
